Freelance Writing Job Leads for the Week of December 11, 2017

I know it’s the holiday season, but there is still work to be done. And really, right now is a good time to be marketing for writing gigs because a lot of freelancers are in holiday mode.

They’re not sending out pitches, cold-calling and/or emailing. This means less competition for you! So get those writing samples ready and start making contact. You can end the year on a bang, and start the New Year off with a gig or two (or three) in the hopper!

1. Content Creator and Manager: Oversee and develop the content for Lost Empire Herbs. Also are responsible for creating, editing, posting, updating, and occasionally cleaning up outdated content. In addition to this must manage all copywriters, guest writers or anyone that is creating content for the site.

Rate/Compensation: $1,500 to $2,00/Month. Note: This is a FT, off-site (remote) position.

2. Freelance Content / Tech Writer: Duties: Write content for Company Web Site, Blogs, Brochures, Email blasts and other Collateral. Requirements: Experience with Content Development; ideally for the Information Technology and the Software Industry; Experience with optimizing Web content with keywords for Organic Search purposes; and Experience with optimizing Blogs with Keywords.

3. Freelance Medical (Pharmaceutical) Writer: We are working on behalf of one of our pharmaceutical clients that are looking for numerous, freelance HEOR Writers. 4. Freelance Content Writer: The Content Writer position is a freelance, remote or part-time position that reports directly to the Communications Manager on the Atlantic Health Solutions team.

In this position, the Content Writer is responsible for contributing a minimum of two articles each month for Atlantic’s content marketing materials.

This individual is responsible for selecting titles from our content calendar, researching the topic, interviewing medical professionals when necessary and writing 100% original content meeting the minimum word requirement.

7. DevOps / Container Management Writer : RevenueZen is seeking writers to produce blog content for one of its favorite clients (spoiler alert: they’re all our favorites). This client is all about enabling software teams to automate container deployments, without any of the hassles of managing cloud infrastructure, or maintaining CI and CD pipelines. The average length of these articles will be right around 500 – 700 words, but we will occasionally pitch longer pieces as well.

8. Early Childhood -PreK Writer/Editor : A contract writer/editor for the PREK-K market, is responsible for creating or editing top-quality materials for use in today’s classrooms.

You will be responsible for writing or editing materials that are pedagogically sound under the direction of Quaracore and our client. Note: Even though this appears to be a full-time, on-site position, it is EXACTLY the kind of gig I’d pitch for freelance work — especially if you have experience in this niche. Why? Because the job can be done remotely, and if you have the skills they’re looking for, there’s a chance that if you’re not hired full-time, you may be able to land some freelance work from them. They may even hire you part-time until they find a full-time candidate if there need is urgent.

12. Online Content Editor: ACTIVE.com is looking for an Online Editor to join our team.

Duties include, but are not limited to: producing written content for ACTIVE.com and ACTIVEkids.com, publish into content management system; writing and editing articles; writing attention-grabbing, SEO-friendly headlines and teasers; finding/editing images; creating and managing editorial calendars and sourcing strategy; planning and executing content marketing efforts: Newsletters, SEO, Social Media, etc.
