How to Become a Freelance SEO Writer: Free Ecourse

I just finished something I should have done a long time ago. What is it? Create a free course on how to become a freelance SEO writer. It’s finally ready for enrollment, but before we get to the particulars, let me back up a bit.

Are You Ready to Take Your Freelance Writing Biz to the Next Level?

I’m preparing for the busy fall season ahead. As I wrote in this post, summer is one of the best times to do behind-the-scenes work to propel your freelance career to the next level. This includes doing stuff you can never seem to get around to during busy times like:

Now I ain’t gonna lie, it’s a lot of “unpaid” work. But if you want to retire one day from writing and/or just want another viable income stream besides writing, you must, must, must make time to do this unpaid work. It will pay off in the long run.

I first started selling my SEO writing ecourse in 2009. I’ve been meaning to put a free one together for at least the last two to three years. But I always have a gazillion and one things going on, and just could never seem to get around to it.

How to Become a Freelance SEO Writer Ecourse: What’s Covered

Always seeking to up the ante, so to speak, I migrated my courses over to the Teachable platform in April (2017). That made them look more professional, and enrollment has shot up. Over the years, I’ve gotten a lot of inquiries about SEO writing, ie:Freelance SEO Writing: Free Ecourse

  • How much do freelance SEO writers make
  • What skills do I need to become a SEO writer
  • How much should I charge to write SEO content
  • What exactly is SEO writing
  • How to find SEO writing jobs online
  • How to get over the fear of starting a freelance writing career
  • What if it’s too hard
  • Should I specialize as a SEO writer, or can I make enough being a generalist
  • What if clients ask me something about SEO that I don’t know
  • What if I can’t earn enough to pay my bills
  • And on and on and on.

This free SEO copywriting e-course answers ALL of these questions – and so many more.

Input from freelance SEO writers who’ve been doing this for years (like me!) is included, as well as free printable templates and career assessment tests. If you’ve ever wondered what being an SEO writer is all about, this course will answer all those questions – and then some.

And again, it’s 100% free.

Retire Rich as a Freelancer?

Yesterday, I read an interest post on the wall of one of my personal Facebook friends. It was a CNBC article entitled, >Want to become a multi-millionaire? Do these 14 things immediately.

One of the things the article talked about was investing in vehicles that produce profits over and beyond your main business. Specifically, the article stated:

Create a vehicle, or several vehicles, where you put at least 10% of your income. Eventually, your investment vehicle may even start producing more profits for you than your actual business. [And] Unlike the majority of high earners out there, you’ll be able to STOP WORKING whenever you want, because your money is making more than enough money for you to comfortably live with.

Now that this class is up and going, I have an idea for another one that I’ll be creating a free ecourse for if my research tells me that there’s enough interest.

Then, I’ll be turning my attention back to my affiliate marketing and romance writing, which I’m so behind on this year it ain’t even funny. But it’s all good.

So what “vehicles” are you working on right now to earn more when the busy season rolls around? Think futuristically about your freelance writing business. Just because you freelance for a living doesn’t mean you shouldn’t one day have the option of retirement. Creating multiple income streams can get you there – quicker than you might think.

This makes it a pretty straightforward sell, especially if you send your prospects to the free class, which addresses all of their concerns about taking the class up front.

You can send them directly to the course on Teachable, or to the landing page created just for this class. I personally like the landing page because of the testimonials listed, but either one is effective.
